I am looking for part time work in Austin TX if any of you have any recommendations or referrals. I have been working from home for the past few years while dealing with my wife’s health but now that she’s doing better I am ready to get out of the house more.
I just found out the program I have worked in for almost 3 years has been folded into other programs & I have essentially been laid off.

#Rewatch Dredd (2012) - read a lot of Dredd and love the in-jokes. And Urban/Thirlby/Headey are great. My only issue is I wanted more dark humor or satire - it doesn’t have to be as wacky and cartoonish as the Stallone, but this perhaps goes too far in the opposite direction of gritty and grounded.

Get Away (2024)

A family's vacation to a remote getaway takes an unexpected turn when they discover the island they're on is inhabited by al killer.

I had fun with this one. It embrace British humor and goes fairly slapstick.

Starring and written by Nick Frost.

Irreversible

Its Bleak AF, raw, nihilistic and the performances are top notch. The camera work has purpose in every single shot. Often frantic and jarring until we get to one scene where Gasper Noe MAKES you sit and experience it for the entire 7-8 minute run time.

It Comes at Night is crushing, bleak and just horrible. Its horror in its purest form. If you enjoy films that delve into what desperate humans might do in an apocalyptic world and isn't afraid to lean into the utter bleakness this is for you. Personally I love it!
