people talk a lot about how pokemon sprites are so much better than the 3D Models, and it’s true they're just more lively as designs. but an underrated factor is that the sprites are also very small and if you want to collect a lot of creatures they had better be very small

Comparing the reboot "I Know What You Did Last Summer" to the original is interesting. It's far less nasty and feels a certain obligation to its victims (even letting them talk it out in therapy), but ultimately still revels in their misery
