Unloved by Elon (who once tried to get me fired), disgusted at "conservatives" who turned out to be Trump cultists, hoping Democrats will get healthier, and wishing Congress would do its damned job.

I write at montanaskeptic.substack.com
1/ No one, but no one, writes as brilliantly as Kevin D. Williamson @thedispatchmedia.bsky.social.

1/ Time for another unpopular opinion here. I think Holman Jenkins, Jr. has it right with at least this part of the analysis:

2/ Remember this? Funny how several "unjust" cases suddenly became "just" cases.

The danger of surrounding yourself with lickspittles & toadies is that they'll tell you only what they think you want to hear.

Schwab lines up behind Musk for Thursday's vote.

Just my personal view, but I hope all three corrupt Musk proposals (3 for 208 million shares, 4 for $1T package, & 7 for xAI investment) pass. The worse, the better.

Musk, who has spent the past several months promoting alt-right propaganda and genuflections to Trump, is back in Trump's good graces. Look for SpaceX to be forgiven all its Artemis III sins, and to be awarded more contracts. Some for xAI, too. Sorry to report it, but it's so.

7/ Notwithstanding the hideous income statement consequences of the new CEO comp packages, Proposal 7 - regarding xAI - is where the real action is. That's Musk's hope to drain Tesla's cash holdings for his AI business.

As @coverdrive12.bsky.social has noted, this is now the game plan.

Today one of Elon's favorite children turns nine years old.

His FSD Fraud child.

Elon received the $56B 2018 package to build a car company. Tesla's directors wants to replace that, and give him another $1T, for destroying the car company. Love the "added context" here.

1/ Why are U.S. farmers in need of a bailout? Because Trump insured their destruction during his first term.

3/ From the Catoggio column (and, please remember, Catoggio and every other writer at The Dispatch is a principled conservative, which is something Donald Trump most decidedly is not):

1/ My latest at Substack - about an attack on the Chancellor in Tornetta v Musk lodged by a law professor - expressed admiration for some City Journal writers, but noted that Christopher Rufo has completely disgraced himself by becoming a reliable Trump lickspittle. More evidence today:

And the beat goes on. Congrats, Tesla shareholders, you'll be paying billions for this.

Tell us again, Elon, about that creepy Jeffrey Epstein, and how you never were truly involved with him.

For years, Adam Jonas has been assuring investors that Tesla's Dojo is worth $500 billion. Now, he notes Dojo has suddenly & completely vanished, yet leaves his $TSLA target price unchanged.

Criminals like Musk can't succeed without criminals like Jonas.
