The frustrating thing is this could have been fixed with maybe another 20-30 minutes per act, but I guess they didn't want the audience to spend more than an hour at a time in their seats.

Also, pre-theatre menu in the venue's restaurant was legitimately great and very well-priced.

I have sat through so many story development meetings where someone will complain about 'the dialogue' when their actual issue was with something structural, or with character motivations.

We've also seen this in recent years where 'reviewers' blame 'the writing' when they just dont like a thing.

in one form or another, and i still occasionally find it difficult to pinpoint a reason I dislike a script, movie, piece of art etc.

But people are conditioned from school onwards to give reasons for their dislike, and as a result will often make up a plausible justification without it being real.

And while the effect of confident guesses is frustrating in practical circumstances, the area it find it utterly infuriating with critical feedback.

Its often hard to understand why you dont like a particular thing. Ive spent almost my entire career providing critical analysis....

Its remarkable. Authoritarianism by people too inept to tie their own shoelaces.

Thank you. Hopefully it stays this good with the next stage

I put in a complaint about that the other day. As soon as they respond I'll share their excuse on here.

If more people had your courage, we wouldn't be in the shitty situation we're in now.

So I imagine the final offer from Netflix will be some amount per share more than Paramount, but with an agreement to sell the TV networks to the Ellisons. And I suspect that will get approved by the Trump regime, because they're fascists.

With this in mind, I doubt they're going to let the Warners deal go. They'll likely wait until Paramount submit something like a final offer, then bid more.

Trump wants Warners to divest CNN (because he's a fascist), Warners don't want the TV nets anyway...

The same is true of 'expertise' in general. Most adults have incredible specialist knowledge in fields that interest them, but because it serves capital to minimise the value of that knowledge, they then assume other people's expertise are of no value either.

One of the worst, and most obviously biased, traits of BBC reporting at the moment is to append the phrase "a biological male/female" to the description of any trans person.

I genuinely can't understand how the BBC believe it to be in any way appropriate to do.
