The Ninja Hedgehog.

I enjoy Asian dramas, cats, crochet, GOT7 💚, SHINee, BTS (go go j-hope!), EXO, Super Junior, and many more.
Also, I just want to pinch Chen Zhe Yuan’s little baby cheeks.

Coming of age, high school to college growing up together turning romance remains my favorite kind of #cdrama.

This seems to nicely straddle my interest groups.
A short #fic, "How #Sussie Got His Hat," is now available for free at my Patreon. And I've written 50,000 words this month. :) #kdph #kpopdemonhunters

GOT7 has firmly entered their era of no longer pretending they were untouched monks and I’m 100% here for it. You go get yerself some, my boys!

Day 15: favorite drama poster of 2025

Easy - basically any of the Whispers of Fate posters. Have I mentioned how damn pretty this show is?

Day 14: a writer or director who caught your attention. This one’s hard because I don’t really pay attention to who is writing/directing stuff most of the time. I’ll go w/Kim Ji Eun, screenwriter for Love Scout. I haven’t seen any of their other shows before. I loved the mature romance.

Day 13: a drama you found boring.
Here I’m going to say She and Her Perfect Husband. Which will make it sound like I don’t like it. I do like it when I’m watching it, but the pacing is practically torturous so far. #EYDC2025

Almost missed day 12: a platonic relationship you loved. For something I watched in 2025, I’m going to go with the sisters in Our Unwritten Soul. It wasn’t a smooth relationship but I loved how they were ultimately there for each other.

Augh! The little red you have a notification marker on my Bluesky icon won’t clear. This will drive me absolutely bonkers.

Day 11: a drama that taught you something new.

I’ll go with The Best Thing, which was chock-full of info about Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Day 10: did you rewatch dramas in 2025? I’m always rewatching stuff. I know I rewatched When the Phone Rings, A Business Proposal, Hidden Love, and Falling Into Your Smile. I’m sure I’m forgetting some. #EYDC2025

Day 9: Did you watch older dramas in 2025? The two oldest I watched were Hanaoni (2009) & I Saw The Devil (2010). I wouldn’t describe Hanaoni as good (I gave it 6.5 stars generously). ISTD on the other hand was excellent, dark, & gritty. There are no good guys in it. It’s a hard watch. #EYDC2025

Day 8: Standout Secondary Character - Derpy Tiger FTW. I’ll also shout out to Na Yu Ri and Hong In A in When the Phone Rings b/c neither one ends in the cliched role of undermining/sabotaging the FL.

Day 7: Favorite Character of 2025. My heart wants to say Tang Li Ci in Whispers of Fate, but I haven’t actually finished it yet so my brain says I need one from a drama I’ve completed. I’ll go with Ban Ju Yeon from My Dearest Nemesis b/c I’m a sucker for a good goober. #EYDC2025

Day6: A drama you dropped in 2025. This one is hard, because I don’t drop many dramas. That said, I have started but not completed a bunch this year but I have every intention of finishing them.

Just finished the first episode of Dear X. Kim You Jung is very good at playing a psycho. #DearX #kdrama

Day 5 is hands down Whispers of Fate for me, even though I haven’t finished it. Soooooo much pretty in this, and I don’t mean just the actors.

Day 4 has to be What It Sounds Like from Kpop Demon Hunters. (Only partially because it’s honestly rare for me to notice the music in a drama and look it up, especially Chinese dramas where I don’t understand the language nearly as much as I do Korean.)

For Day 3, I’ve got two Veryical Chinese Drama actors: Ke Chun and Ma Xiao Yu. God bless them and their ability to deliver in Truly Terrible content with gusto and verve.

I’m sure I’ve posted this before but one of the most annoying symptoms of perimenopause is how many people insist you couldn’t possibly be in perimenopause.
December 3, 2025 at 3:48 AM
For Day 2, I’ll go with Zhang Ruo Nan in The First Frost because of her incredible performance capturing the vulnerability of her character. I’ve also discovered a ton of actresses in vertically filmed content that I enjoy but the nature of how they get posted means I don’t know anyone’s name. :)

I… will almost certainly not complete all of these challenges but the ones I find ready answers to, I will. Sadly, the answer to Day 1 is China b/c of the absolute avalanche of Truly Terrible Shortform Chinese Dramas I’ve watched this year. Of more “legit” watching, it’s actually also China.

There is a subgenre of Truly Terrible Shortform Chinese Dramas that I would call “Isn’t Our Legal System The Bee’s Knees?”

Usually involving a lawyer transmigrated to a novel where she/he has to earn system points by popularizing legal knowledge in order to return to their original world.
