The first season of ‘The Bear’ is flawed, but sincere, and ultimately good. The second season has that ironic distance that residents of the anglosphere apparently require in their media, but which, to me, makes it unsufferable to watch.

the real thing issue is that we have some groups of young men *claiming* to be driven right because of problems like male isolation when the right is not actually offering material solutions to those problems. what the right is offering is social and political power over women.
