I've always loved this Oscar-winning short starring Dane Clark and Janis Paige.

Six years later most of these folks would be living under a fascist dictatorship. I wonder how many ended up in death camps because they were Jewish or communists? I don't imagine the Black guys seen briefly in the street fared too well.

Love the cabarets though!

Back in the 60s when kids were doing the Watusi and other popular dances of the day, parents and grandparents were scandalized and thought it signified the downfall of society. But here's what those parents and grandparents were doing in the 20s. And I love it. 😂

I'd still have fun with that mildly radioactive U-238 Atomic Energy Lab or the chemistry set today. 😂 Cap pistols were an essential in those days because every kid wanted to emulate the shows they watched on TV by playing Cowboys and Indians or Cops and Robbers. 😂

Just watched episode 6 of Pluribus on Apple TV. I decided that had this happened in real life when I was about 35 and I'd been one of the survivors, I'd have totally been this guy. 😂

The New York Times film critics have named Sinners as their best film of the year. They rate One Battle After Another 2nd. I'd personally flip them, but they are both great achievements in cinema.

I concur with the British public on their verdict regarding Die Hard. I would not agree with the 20% who listed Home Alone as their favorite Christmas movie, but that's a subjective matter of taste. It certainly has its funny moments.

If you watch TV in the United States, you've probably seen the Google Pixel 10 commercial with the Nancy Sinatra song "Sugar Town." I particularly smile at this clip because Ed would have had no clue Nancy was singing about sugar cubes laced with LSD. 😂

I really liked that. I think my favorite stuff was in some of the details of this particular vision of the afterlife, which I found very funny.

Now seated in theater 11 at Cinemark for the 1 p.m. showing of Eternity. I'm not a huge fan of modern romantic comedies but this one has an interesting premise. Kind of like one of those supernatural fantasies they were doing in the 40s. So we'll see. Catch y'all later.

Watched Nouvelle Vague tonight. Loved it. A French New Wave film in 2025. I was reminded of Truffaut's Day for Night, a film about making a film. But it's about real people making a real landmark film. The actors so embodied Godard, Seberg and Belmondo I almost forgot it wasn't them. ⬇️

Just signed up for a month of Netflix so I could watch Nouvelle Vague and Frankenstein. Got a first month upgrade to the premium plan for $17.99. I added Stranger Things and Wednesday to my "stuff" to try out because people talk about them a lot. Anything else I should be checking out?

The National Board of Review has named One Battle After Another as its best picture of 2025. I could not agree more. PTA, Leo, Benicio and Chase Infiniti were also recognized.

Sinners, Wicked: For Good and F1 made their top 10 list.
