I like just shmups on a casual level, but I just found this out the other day when I was talking to someone while getting arcade parts. I had no clue. I had no clue people had such strong feelings about Ikaruga's legendary status.

For all the things he's said negatively about the WWE in the past, as an uncle myself, I can't blame him for wanting to work with his nephew and letting that be the most important thing.

It's not LA specifically and the space can fit more than 50 people, but Gardena Cinema in Gardena is a great spot for that sort of thing.
