For my creative endeavors, I'm not too motivated by money. I work a day job and it takes care of me financially.

I'm not motivated by clout. A lot of it is imaginary and isn't really worth a damn.

Being a disruptor motivates me more. I do my own thing because the current things kinda suck.

I always gotta ask myself: does overworking myself inspire others to try harder OR does it just enable more people to be lazy?

Either way: how do you combat the world being so lazy when comfort slop is king?

How do you push people to give just a little more effort?

A little makes a difference.

As a guy who has been involved in music AND enjoys fighting games for decades now, if it's something you TRULY love and it's not some weird, self-esteem replacement boost for you, everything will or already is working out for you.

It'll mostly be fun and it'll mostly bring joy.

I teach music. I'm not sure if I'm a wonderful human, but I will say that while it's really not always fun and the discipline in my students is nowhere near what it was pre-pandemic, it's one of the best feelings when it all comes together for them. Seeing them gain confidence is a good feeling.
