Hot take: any progress at all towards nfs that are independent from Eurov*sion for decision makers over time, even if not motivated by politics, but instead by social pressure, money, or “popularity” (cough) is a good thing and I’ll gladly support the process. The numbers will speak for themselves.

We need journalists
We need eye witnesses
We need critical bloggers
We need investigators
We need legal specialists, writers, fact checkers, as many as possibly coming together for our cause.
Shaming them, shunning them and harassing them is not the way.
Our attention is precious. Use it.
Being a boycotter of whichever grade, and I genuinely mean whichever grade you individually choose, whatever you do, don’t let anyone, and especially not The Rage Machine convince you that having fun is illegal. And do not be nasty to those who will be our central messengers and eyewitnesses.

Announcing a full blackout and refusal to comply is a honourable, ethical, and admirable thing to do. But we need people to inform us what’s going on as well. Otherwise the show will become a black box. By uplifting the important, responsible, ethical voices, we do the best possible for our cause.

I'm just saying that if a collection of #Eurovision artists were to write and record a charity group single to release during ESC 2026 week that was raising money for Palestine that would for sure make the message and press coverage louder.

If they're more open than before...they would say something about the ESC 2024 DQ
Why is not releasing the code of conduct 2026 a problem:
- Journalists can’t get informed consent in advance, possibly not before the event.. which was the same this year?
- Fans and creators can’t read any changes and analyse and critique them
- The lack of openness goes against their new values.

Unless someone pops up right on Christmas to upload next years Code of Conduct for 2026 on 24/12, then I think it’s definitely going to be too late for the previous deadline, so either we’re getting it way belated, in the middle of national finals, or maybe not at all. This is an actual problem.

Danish broadcaster DR wrote an article about the five countries withdrawing and made a poll asking if Israel should be allowed to participate.

Top is Yes,
middle is No,
and bottom is Don't Know.

Once again, another poll showing that broadcasters aren't representing the public opinion.

I hope that every single journalist who aren’t in rightful blackout will go and expose everything.
And if a picture or a video of the contract is not possible, I hope someone recreates it.
This is not just a question of the contest, it’s a media freedom, journalists rights, and human rights issue.
Where is the promised update? Where is the review?
Someone enlighten me, are journalists supposed to go into the 2026 gig or not without knowing it they’re going to be applied to the strictest censorship?
What will happen if they break this rule, and is an NDA involved?
December 18, 2025 at 5:41 PM
Also where the fuck is it?
Reminding you of the severity the first draft of the strangely unreleased Media CoC for 2026.
We were promised an attempted fix from within the system by someone who was actually *horrified* by this news and since we have heard nothing from anyone about it.

Wouldn't be surprised about the NDAs,but I also have the feeling they won't be able to hide it for much longer. Maybe for 2027 but not longer.
They always did it way before Christmas didn’t they? Yes they did. And then other bloggers and critics, including what I did in the past, could analyze its content and point out its meanings. Is this going to stop now? Severe NDAs maybe for years to stop “reputational damage”? I’m sick to my stomach

EBU advocating trusted and protected media while they made back-door deals with a government that is committing genocide so that it can keep their platform to whitewash its crimes.

EBU you’re so funny.
Trusted media=protected posts…or that’s how it should be!

Despite #EMFA, real change by platforms is slow. #PublicServiceMedia still faces removals, downranking & obstacles.

Our new campaign explains why this matters & how trusted content can be protected.

Well eventually they're going to have to say it!
Notice how he said “we’re saddened that” not “we’re sorry to hear that”

Because “sorry” is not a word that is allowed in their organisation. That would after all be too much to ask.

Language something something 🌚

Why didn't police prevent it tho?
A while after the talkshow I looked it up what happened the act of what actually allegedly happened there at their responsibility backstage. Turns out such a thing is criminal in my country and you can go to jail for it. Did not luck out with figuring out the Swedish laws but can’t be so different.

Release the two Code of Conduct documents.
The public is watching and we haven’t forgotten.
I am one hundred percent convinced that this ragebait and intimidation for lack of better words is definitely on purpose.
They’re trying to make us give up, trying to piss us off, trying to make us delete our accounts so we can “move on”. Talk about it but keep this in mind. It’s not coincidence.
