Hey, Marco Rubio. Enjoying your decision to throw away whatever last shreds of your dignity to serve this disgraceful human?

Looking weak and small.
How soon before little MARCO is the subject of their public ridicule?

Exhibit #5,000,000 that none of this has anything to do with efficiency.

It's just incredibly basic white Christofascism.

Anti-science, anti-life. Profoundly sadistic.

The people who claim they are going to protect your money would spend any amount of money to cause you even a little more pain.
The Trump administration has been evaluating the costs of destroying or disposing of tens of millions of coronavirus tests that would otherwise be provided free to Americans.
U.S. weighs destroying $500 million in stockpiled covid tests
The government is reviewing proposals to shut down the program that ships free covid tests to American households and has been considering destroying 160 million tests.

Trump is revoking Pres. Biden’s security clearance, plans to fire the Kennedy Center leadership and make himself the chair, and demands WaPo columnist Eugene Robinson be fired for criticizing weak Republicans who don’t stand up to Trump. This miserable mam is a blot against America.

I know we can’t run around on fire every time Trump says something but he appears to have just announced the new US policy on Gaza which is to take ownership of it, ethnically cleanse it of the 1.8 million Palestinians there and maintain a long term ownership stake as it’s “developed.”

Another opening for someone to take to court
American citizens should not have to enter into a contract with a private company (that’s an X account signup!) to receive government communications
The NTSB says it will no longer email news outlets or reporters with notifications of upcoming press conferences, including those on plane crashes in Washington and Philadelphia.

Instead, all notifications will be made on X.

We're filing a FOIA to find out more about the change in policy.

I really can’t wrap my head around congressional Democrats’ response to the past 12 days of crises. It reeks of pathetic capitulation. Trump is asserting dictatorial powers of absolute control over the entire government and the reaction is “we don’t swing at every pitch”? An appalling abdication.

i think it is important to say that the open and explicit racism of the president and the vice president isn’t just uncouth or “controversial” but a direct attack on tens of millions of americans and a dereliction of their duty to represent the entire country

So, according to MAGA, being a sexual abusing, pathologically lying, violence inciting felonious traitor who attacks trans people and promises to deport tens of millions immigrants is “good”, but being a pastor who asks for compassion for those same people is “bad”.

Do I have that just about right?

Sergeant Gonell @sergeantaqgo.bsky.social sent me this picture. This is his call log. Each call is an automated Dept of "Justice" notification saying "The defendant you testified against is being released from the dept of corrections."
Each defendant assaulted him.

Trump exploded in fury at Bishop Marian Budde on Truth Social a little after midnight, calling her a "hater."

As we argue on today's pod, there is nothing MAGA despises more than appeals to common decency and humanity.

No matter where you fall on the TikTok ban, the President undoing by “executive order” a law passed by Congress and upheld unanimously by the Supreme Court is an unconstitutional abuse of power.

Trump literally leaving his supporters out in the cold while he and his billionaire buddies stay warm and cozy inside is the most Trumpian thing in the history of Trump.

MAGA will never learn will they?

Jan 20, 1961. A blizzard the day before. Temperatures well below freezing. Without a coat or hat, JFK gave a speech we still quote today. Robert Frost, 86, recited a poem. Steinbeck and Hemingway and Rothko were among the VIPs. A million people gathered in the cold to hear it.
This is the precedent.
