The big 25 is coming to a close. I didn't publish a lot of drawings as much as I wanted to but I messed around a lot with all kinds of stuff. Maybe next year you'll see more out of me.

so here we are again, end of the year already? as is tradition with me i'd like to highlight my personal favorites for 2025, though i have to admit it was really a tough pick to get to just four.

context for each in the alt text including some bluesky exclusive thoughts, woah.
the love she carries: feels like forever since i've drawn pyra in an endearing, sweet, and non-girlfailure housewife kind of way, so why not pay homage to the first big girl piece i ever made with the blade by having her bubbly and happy. also my favorite background of the year, man those clouds are amazing. yeah the grass could be better but to be honest, i just like a euphoric, beeg pyra. also it was my first time actually drawing her armor, somewhat. look i don't do armor for a good reason but man i'm still proud of how it all came out. man i love flapjacks: death, taxes, and mega pining for the ice mom; such are certainties in life. my award for the most unsung piece i've done, while a few of the melonys i've done often fall under the radar this was one that i wished fared better. i mean it has snom in it, snom. that and some mighty fine pancakes. feel like i could have done the hair a bit better, especially with shading which improved later on in the year but i mean it's melony making a fat stack of flapjacks and based on the crown zenith card, what more do you want? splash and floe: undoubtedly my personal favorite piece of the year i've done and if there was any i'm glad came out this year making it two straight with monthly ice moms it's this one. the posing, the water rippling, the balmy sunlight, a good cloud, and postmark aesthetic just hit for me you know? mom pants avalanche: i struggled immensely to round out the top four, mostly to avoid it being oops all melony. the peaches were good but some nagging bits lingered on with me (for the sightseeing peach pic it's some background elements that felt weak, for the remake its the text on the shirt, could have warped it better). rosalina at the diner was my most popular piece this year but that burger hut in the window is nowhere near what it should have been in terms of quality. there was that cynthia too i guess, but i dunno, something about shoving the ice mom into mom pants just makes my heart sing. the age of 50 is in demand and i'm its humble supplier and buyer.

did you know that if you have rosalina eat 120 dash food meals in mario kart world you unlock her lazing costume?

just trust me bro, i know the game comes out in 18 days but my consciousness stepped foot in nintendo hq for five seconds so i have to be right.
rosalina, incredibly fat, eating a comically oversized burger that resembles the dash food from mario kart world while her belly overhangs the diner table with empty plates strung about and some fries just out of reach. she laments having to eat so much while peach apparently makes gorging herself look like child's play but the running gag here is that the tired space mom really needs herself that mobility scooter. there's also a yoshi's outside that is for "scooter class only," a weapon, er class to suprpass heavyweight.

summer may be winding down but melony sure knows how to make a splash.
a rather obese melony from pokemon shield, dressed in a two piece bikini with the top pressing against her ample bosom and bottom strap pinching her lower belly, splashing about in the water against a sunny sky with light cloud cover. her body is coated in thin droplets of water from the water with her left arm posing towards her face to act cutesy towards the viewer. the text on the top left reads "wish you were here. - melony" in galarian with a heart next to it.

it's the first day of summer, so of course i'm putting melony in a bikini (design based on @/RhymeWithRay's swimsuit alt concept for pokemon masters)
melony from pokemon shield, pleasantly plump and on the beach in a one piece with a split bra connected by lace and ribbon based on frosmoth influeced by rhymewithray's design) looks towards an onlooker pulling the sunglasses off her face. she smiles, contently, asking "oh there you are luv. mind fetching me a few pints of ice cream? subzero cold like myslef doesn't fare well in this heat you know." this is a subtle reference to mega about to enter a four day heat wave next week with tuesday reaching temperatures of over 100 degrees (39 celcius in non-murican terms) and is partly looking at this as a cry for help. that or he really wants you to take in melony in a bikini, it's probably that.
