Bede, Gregory of Tours. Medieval Movies & links to history podcasts. Antiques friendly.
BTW avoiding MAGAs & their UK pals keeps my blood pressure down.
In France we have a mystery series set in Antique Egypy with a priest-doctor. And he is not celibate! Unlike Cafdael who was not before monkhood...

Hell is not a swear word. It is found in the Bible & the Gospels.
Admittedly crap is one yet humans produce excreta like every live being of the planet since ever. As for Blood, Christ is on record offering his for us to drink as the mean to salvation. What about channeling your investigative Monk.

Interestingly, as I was visiting about 10 years ago Ingelheim palace, I noticed water pipes. As if Carolingian emperors were still using Roman pipes for their private baths, maybe having them repaired. kaiserpfalz-ingelheim.de/en/card-kais... Not remembering pipes in Aachen. @

Why angels? Wings = birds; what of thunder birds, this part of Native American mythologies. Could we stop seeing each & every wall paint through the prism of Judeo-Christian monotheism? Do we ascribe Celtic myths to Biblical events? No, we don't. @flintdibble.bsky.social @jasoncolavito.bsky.social

Impossible. Duvet implies Down like young feather. This is not a bird, certainly not an eider down. Adding birds have a tail. Now ... it could be he is growing a beard like a teenager and is getting ready for his first barbatoria?

If we, here in 2025, don’t expect women in the 1930s to have been physical, to be undertaking manual excavation tasks, it probably says more about later 20th century stereotypes of womanhood than it does about women in e. 20th century archaeology.

Saw at church a young woman barely older than me, with scars. Upon seeing her, I decided I would help her scars. I was 16. Entered med school a year later. Retired 46 years later as a GP with special interest in dermatology and gynaecology. Loved my job and was happy to stop after all these decades.

So an aspic. Kidney beans will hold, less sure about the cottage cheese and the cabbage. Feta should more solid. Olives and tomatoes also better. But not enough, hard boiled egg, and instead of French dressing a proper vinaigrette with mustard and shallots along chives. Maybe some avocado cubes.
