Bespoke Federal Reserve Exception

You can trash the country, the Constitution, and democracy, but hands off the economy.
My *guess* is that right now Vance is a Trump dead-ender: he thinks he's the heir apparent, so he'll ride that as far as it goes.

The question, obviously, is how far will it go -- and it probably won't go as far as he thinks.

You idiotically claimed that Trump won NJ and VA — then said that Sherrill won VA instead of NJ — and you’re calling me a “MAGA bot?”

How fucking stupid are you?
December 5, 2025 at 4:08 AM
Trump lost both VA and NJ by over 5 points.

Instead of talking shit and showing that you know absolutely nothing, why not list the 20 Senate seats you think Dems can pick up?

By the way, I’m a lifelong progressive, as my timeline shows.

Says everyone who understands anything about American politics. The Dems have 47 seats now, including Indies. No rational person thinks they can pick up 20 seats -- especially when the term is six years.

Disagree? Here's a Senate map. Sketch it up:

"Your facts are on the wrong side of history" is pretty epic.

No party in the history of the country has ever had 67% of Senate seats.

Right now, the Dems have 47 seats. No serious person thinks they can pick up 20 seats.

If you disagree, look at a map and tell me what they can swing.

Impeaching SCOTUS justices requires 67 votes in the Senate.

There is no chance that Dems will ever have that many votes.

Well, as everyone knows, when the police commissioner's brother makes disparaging remarks in private about the mayor-elect, the only option is to go absolutely nuclear.

Picking stupid and meaningless fights is just good politics for someone who hasn't been inaugurated.

Dickens? Seriously?

There's a reason why Trollope called him "Mr. Popular Sentiment."

Part of the problem for me is the lyrics, which are simultaneously pretentious (you didn't build anything), absurd (the song isn't rock and roll), and gibberish ("Marconi plays the mamba, listen to the radio, don't you remember?")
December 4, 2025 at 9:22 PM
I'd go with the train, no question.

I think my comment sounded more hostile than I meant it. I liked what I read of "Soliloquy," and I think "Day" is interesting as a conceptual piece.

I think Kenny Goldsmith's genius was getting rid of poetry and only doing self-promotion.

Marinetti did something vaguely similar, but if he was the caffeine of Europe, Kenny was more like the half-caf skinny mocha of US poetry.

It's with the Pentagon's girlfriend in Canada.

She's really hot, BTW.

There's also the question of what would constitute a lie, and who determines it. Much of Fox News is commentary, which means it's opinion. If someone believes something that is untrue and says it on Fox or MSN, could they be punished?
December 4, 2025 at 8:44 PM
Genuine question: does it seem plausible that an officer would murder civilians on video without some kind of order?

Good luck finishing seventh grade.

Bye.
December 4, 2025 at 6:49 PM
And again the eternal question arises: trolling, stupid, or both?

"We need to restore the Fairness Doctrine so that it can apply to media that we'll immediately ban."

Absolutely flawless.

I was wondering the same thing, but I'd suspect some FBI agents would come forward if it's a fall guy.
