The current situation is that in many places, the right is too entrenched/gained too much ground through gerrymandering and stacking the supreme court. But the overall political climate still needs pulled back away from it's far-right swing. And we can help that! By voting far left in large numbers

I don't know where I'm going with this, but it was just a thing I was thinking about, in connection to the old "what if I'd made a different choice, what if I'd gone left instead of right" trope that shows up in so many stories.

And honestly it's okay, I'm okay! But it is a very different kind of thought experiment for me. I feel lucky to be able to just do some baseline things other people find easy. And whenever I make any choices, the first thing I have to consider are my limitations. I've had to do that my entire life

Anyway whenever people say they don't deserve to exist/imply that they haven't earned the right to exist, I'm so angry + sad that someone made them feel that way.

It was great!! It wasn't even really on my radar before, but I'm so glad I watched it.

Objectively extremely depressing that we have the exact same problems now as we had when this film came out.

And that it's so much less likely that something like this could be made now
