[post after playing 10 hours of a game]: this is cool!

[post after game pass prices go up]: In this thread, I'll be breaking down what this means for how people might be consuming videogames in the next 10 years

If I could lodge one minor complaint about videogame Bluesky, it's that people are way more interested in the games business than sharing anything detailed about what they're playing.

It's all by design. Call of Duty is a 20-year experiment in making the perfect controller FPS. The assist makes you believe you're doing things you aren't, which is fine in an equal setting, but has me wondering if PC players should also have a crossplay off option.

It's hard to talk about why aim assist is too good in Call of Duty without sounding like a sour grapes PC gamer, but I will try. Last night I switched to controller for a few hours and noticed that everything was easier: recoil control, staying on target, headshots, tracking.

It's why you can't just do an Oscars with games and get the same results. Academy voters have time to at least watch a few no-name movies with amazing festival buzz. Games are just longer.

I'd argue localization is a secondary barrier for Blue Prince compared to the one you also cite in there: TGAs favor the games lots of people played, not the ones our bluesky mutuals went bananas for. Even if Blue Prince was localized, it's just way more niche than a Clair Obscur.

I'm curious, why was babe so low in the order at that point?

My starting point is "people who read game websites," which is an increasingly enthusiast crowd every year. (Not to suggest that means everyone gets it)

Sounds likely yep, I'm not subscribed to anything that's gotten better over time. Only worse.
