So why not have Subaru fix it, work with the warranty people, and have the purchaser keep it?

This is what is blowing my mind.
The engine trouble you discovered has devalued the car. It's part of the carfax now and now Kelly Blue Book says it's worth quite less than what you paid.
If the dealership takes it back, they're gonna have to fix it to sell it for anything higher.

WV public school. I don't think we learned a thing about where America went wrong, save for slavery, and when we did go over the Civil War, it was very much from the perspective of "it was about states' rights!"

Yeah, all of this isn't helping, ultimately. But more than anything, it's just the way my life has been falling apart since November, losing my car, losing my job, now paying for repairs in the new car I could never have predicted while trying to find new employment without a car of my own...

No one buys a car for $21k expecting to pay $3k more in repairs two weeks later. It's normal to think that's fucking ridiculous. So why do I feel like I'm crazy for being upset?
