Once and future podcaster and content creator. Gamer, music nerd, and all around curmudgeon.
Yeah, 100%. In the… five? years I podcasted, I personally never made a cent of profit. Everything the podcast made either paid my counterpart or went to equipment costs, web hosting, taxes, or game books for review.

But to be frank, if the content is making like $100 bucks a month, it’s a little idiotic slash asinine to expect to get paid for contribution. I think a lot of people are a tad delusional about how much $$$ streams/pods/etc., actually make.

That said, if I have a podcast and I have a “guest” on my show, I’m not paying them. Never. If someone is on my team (such as previous pods) that regularly contributes, they’ll get a portion of the income - be it via equipment or cash.

The conversation about money in hobby-adjacent streaming/content creation is so gross to me. If I’m a “guest” on a pod/stream/video, I’d never ask for $. However, if I’m writing, doing production, etc - I’d like some of the benefits reaped by the product…

Just find a good GM and make them decide. I advocate playing 6e only because it’s the most current and it’ll be easier to find stuff for it AND assistance with questions.

I remember exactly when I first acquired this book. I was in high school and constantly larping. I thought this book was sooooo cool.

There’s also Anarchy! Which is rules-light cinematic rules. I have not played that version but it looks fun.

I think 3rd is the most classic version most veteran players know best. I think 5th plays the tightest but it’s also really hard to track down a physical copy of the core. 6th is quite a mixed bag - sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit.

Shadowrun 1st edition. Picked this up at an auction several years ago. Shadowrun is one of the few games I have a core book for every edition.

Because X is owned privately by someone who is part of Trump's administration.

Giving X money or content they can earn ad revenue from is indirectly and directly funding PACs and legislation that takes rights away from marginalized individuals.

That's why I left. Full stop.
