Martin Luther King Jr. once said “the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice.” In this moment, I know we all want to see that arc move quicker towards that end goal & better future. Let’s keep the hope, and keep fighting for that better future. Wish you all a happy MLK Day!

I know what it’s like to win tough races. When I first ran for Cook County Commissioner, I flipped a safe red seat blue and became the youngest and the first openly LGBT Commissioner in history. That’s why I’m running now, because our community can’t afford politics as usual.
