Just learned that U of Toronto physics prof David Harrison passed recently. He's the reason this poli sci/english student showed up with a copy of Dancing Wu Li Masters at his office hours, talked about getting off the pre-law path, burned 2 years, switched majors, and never looked back

The lag in this #MLB game 3 is horrible. At least once a minute. Don't know if it's due to Fox, CITY-TV, or Telus, but whoever "they" is, they figured out how to enshittify live sports. Never had this problem with Curt Gowdy calling the game on NBC with a pair of rabbit ears for grainy reception
