A quick question to GMs and world builders - what is your opinion on the idea of a "common" language?
I, personally, feel that having a language barrier between the players and parts of the world is an important tool that is a bit underused.

How many of you, worldbuilders, bother to work on your own calendar system? Do you feel like it is worth it to change names/legnth of each month, or even length of the year?
I have settled on 366 days long year, with 13 months, 28 days each + 1 day at the start and end of the year.

I have overestimated how much I am able to work on Mortal Struggles on a 6-day work week... And I have two of these right after the holidays ended. So just doing some work behind the scenes and fixing minor issues for now. Will probably post more Deities in the coming days though

Always get somebody to read your written material. The more text there is, the more likely it is you will see what you wanted to write when reading, instead of what you actually wrote

Made a pause in updates for the holidays, will be getting back to work on the system now. Creating new Creatures was getting a bit tedious as of late, so will switch to filling gaps in spell lists for mages. It is always good to come back to earlier work with a fresh look

Sometimes I start blaming myself for being a sluggish developer. Then I remember that merely a yeard ago, Mortal Struggles existed as bunch of txt files on a discord server with no guides and half of its mechanics filled with placeholders... So it's fine

One of the most complex parts of worldbuilding is balancing the availability of rare services/abilities. It is hard to set the price of teleportation in a way that it remains available to players as a premium service, but is not commonly used by trading companies

One more OC from Mortal Struggles players. Hun is an Andertal mercenary with a mix of Berserker and Rogue abilities. Accidently, just like the Gnoll from before - he is a great cook. He follows tenets of Goraizekh, so every threat of his is a divine oath
