This is one of those posts we’re all loathed to make but, not having had stable work since September + a raft of rejections for kitchen jobs, things have gotten a little stretched so if you can + want to kick me some change to help out with bills, it would be greatly appreciated. ko-fi.com/lawsonsv

Won't be surprised if a trossard injury follows suit. Then another to Odegaard and we shall be watching the 2020 October - December arsenal.

This week’s Arsenal Women Newsletter. A willingness to make early changes has been a hallmark of Renee Slegers’ tenure so far. Key to this is the adaptability of Mariona, McCabe and Catley, who are all able to change their roles in-game according to the game plan

My biggest issue with arteta is his lack of adapting players to different roles. Having a set template also becomes easy for opponents to handle you. Having the same players but keeping altering their roles, also creates uncertainty amongst the opposition.

Piggy backing off the analysis piece from Saturday but an added bonus of the 325 build up structure that allows Mariona to move inside as that it essentially means there are two 10s instead of one, which is really helping Frida Maanum for example.
New! With graphics from @matterofarsenal.bsky.social how Arsenal's 325 build up shape has allowed them to use McCabe as an extra attacker. Arsenal build in a three of Fox, Williamson and Catley with McCabe pushed up into the forward line, with the added bonus of allowing Mariona to drift inside 👇🔴⚪️

Becky Spencer, who played in goal for Spurs today, one of only two members of the 2006/07 Arsenal quadruple winning squad still playing. Gemma Davison, at Watford now, the only other.

Very worth looking back at the goals scored in Arsenal’s last three games and clocking how many start with a Williamson pass. She’s really gone back to her best form very quickly.
