Knitter, felter, and fledgling fantasy-writer. I get political when human rights are involved.
I enjoyed exploring world radio stations at the end of this year. This one is one of my favorites: radio.garden/listen/radio...

I learned how to properly redact documents within a month of working in a tiny middle-of-nowhere courthouse. I never learned to see myself as competent - I left law partly for that reason - but even I'm more competent than this.
Ok. Now had a chance to check and, well, at least some docs do appear to be straight up classic redaction fail. And there are some *interesting* bits here.

Here's another copy, less likely to be taken down.
BREAKING: WATCH the full 60 Minutes CECOT segment here. This was sent to me anonymously. It appears to be the segment CBS' Bari Weiss killed. www.muellershewrote.com/p/watch-the-...

Here is the 60 Minutes segment that was not aired. I'm still haunted by the fear that some of my former clients might have been there. I'm still haunted to think what might yet happen. archive.org/details/3mam...

I'm not very good at remembering to advertise. Don't miss the Holiday Book Blowout this weekend! It's at Westbrook outlets on Dec 20 from 11-4. There will be 70 local authors, live music, small businesses, activities for the kids, and food. I hear even Santa's supposed to be there!

Usually, I believe we can and should celebrate a work of art while acknowledging its creators' flaws. We are all flawed beings. Harry Potter is one of my exceptions solely because JK Rowling uses her income to inflict such great harm. When the harm ends, then we can celebrate the art again.
Every dollar JK Rowling makes from Harry Potter is going into bankrolling an extortion racket issuing legal threats to organizations across the UK to purge themselves of trans people or face ruinous lawfare.
i hope every single person who still buys harry potter merch or engages with that franchise is happy that they're literally making girl guides cry

girl guides uk have been forced very much against their will to exclude trans girls. full statement is here: www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-...

I'm generally skeptical when people talk about people being able to read people's energies and auras. So, when someone today muttered to someone else about my energy being off, I dismissed it as mean-girl stuff.

Four hours later, I had flu symptoms.

So, maybe there's something to it?

Just for fun, here's a comparison of a tiny squirrel I made three years ago with a tiny squirrel I made earlier today but haven't finished yet. I did not think my style had changed so much!

Final critter - and this time I had to foresight to photograph next to the book. It makes sense to make a sheep out of wool, right? Book is available here: www.amazon.com/Kiera-Lamby-... #books #picturebooks #connecticut #felted #lamb #felt #amigurumi

Critter number 2 is a tiny cat. This cat is based off of Allia Zobel Nolan's own cat. She was at the table next to me, and I was bored, so I made a cat. Her website is here: www.alliawrites.com #books #picturebooks #connecticut #felted #cat #felt #amigurumi

If you missed the Norwalk book fair, there is another book fair this Saturday 11/15 in Bridgeport! Event will be at University of Bridgeport's Keeler Recreation Center, and it will run from 10am-4pm.

Obligatory self-promotion done. Next up, felted critters from yesterday's event!

Last reminder of the two Connecticut book fairs coming up! Stop by, meet local authors, and find some winter reading!

If you're following my post for felted critters, these fairs are also one of the best times to get some felting done, so I might have some new critters after this weekend too!
Just another reminder of the two book fairs coming up! If you are interested in being part of Connecticut's book fairs, please see my previous post. #books #bookfairs #authors

A few new critters! Okay, not that new. The first one is from the summer. The second one I made a year ago, but I only just now gave him eyes.

The mug in the background is a gift from a friend. I never took it from its case because it feels unearned, somehow.

Weird thought regarding the SNAP shutdown: in historic times and in various religions, fasting was used to cope when food was scarce. Could we use a similar mechanism as a protest? Especially if we get places of worship involved.
