I'm always frustrated how much work community takes. How much I gotta do just to feel at peace and social. Shit gets so isolating.

Im seeing positive change here and there which has kept me going, but there is hella work to do to keep improving

What sort queer groups are you in?

Probably not your speed but as an example my queer group at my church in Kirkland has been really helpful for meeting gays outside my online sphere.

I'm gonna be looking for some mutual aid style groups in the fall tho, I'll let you know if I find anything cool

The story in FURI is really intriguing. Won't spoil it too much but I do think it could make an interesting series. Live action is certainly a choice but that snippet seems to be doing it a bit of justice.

Had a dream a while back in which I discovered the existence of the "Grave of the Fireflies/Super Mario World 2-in-1" for the Wii. It basically functioned as a DVD except for a "special features" section that literally only had an SNES emulator playing Mario World. It went for absurd prices on eBay

The cover for a fake Wii game consisting of both the 1988 Studio Ghibli film, Grave of the Fireflies, and Super Mario World; both are represented on the cover, the former by the poster of Seita carrying his sister Setsuko across a field and the latter by the artwork of Mario wearing a cape and riding Yoshi. The cover promises "TWO classics in ONE!".
