That game did my favorite thing ever, where it introduced a character, and I cemented an opinion about them, and then it made me completely 180 with just one or two more scenes, I love that shit, it’s my jam, that’s just catnip to me.

This is one of the few full color pages of Burn It Down, and yet it is a memory of Anna's of coming home on her bike to the car windshield having a large hole like a rock jumped up from the road.

But the hood also has a huge dent. She opens the door to the house. "Mom? What happened to the car?" There's no answer. "Mom? ...Anthony? Are you home?" There's still no answer. She does however find her mother in the kitchen. Her mother's face is shielded from the last panel, but her hunched posture holding her arms gives away more than words need. "... Mom?"

"Hey! Asshole!" Anna calls out to Frank, who surprisingly stops and listens with a furrowed brow as she makes demands. "You're doing this project with me and if you don't show your ass up to the library every day I will find out where you live and burn your house down." she says the last part with emphasis but Frank doesn't seem really affected.

"Ok, wow. Seems a little agressetory. You need a cig or something?" he's more surprised at her energy about it.

"Fuck you! I am not getting a C because of you!"

"A C?" He makes a fake concerned expression. "Oh no, how horrible!" Then he drops it as he turns to head out. "I got better things to do than sit in a fuckin' book prison all afternoon."

Yeah, pretty much. A lot if, not most, of the hunting done in the US in on public land, and most hunters here would also consider themselves conservationists. (And they wouldn't be wrong about that). Poaching is just a dick move proving you think you take priority over everyone and everything else.

Apropos of nothing: One of the most clean-cut divides between layperson British and American perspectives I've noticed is the general opinion of poachers.

in the UK, poachers are romanticized rebels, risking it all to feed their families.

In the US, they're assholes. Massive, massive assholes.
