This comic is so good. I need Vol. 2 so bad.

What if we got to 300 backers today? That would be pretty cool

Ooh, I don't think Calbraith would be impressed by how you're representing Pillars, Cam-Cam. Leeds certainly isn't and that transition from flat, unimpressed glare to MURDER is so good.
lizlovelaugh.bsky.social
It's ok. It just means I get to like it again. My day is always better with a little XandCass goodness in it. They look so happy.

Oh wow! New version definitely selling her hurtling out the door!

These famed Second Style frescos from the Villa dei Misteri in #Pompeii are thought to portray a bride’s induction into an ancient mystery cult before her marriage. Given the presence of Dionysus and his retinue, many believe that cult is the Dionysian or Bacchic Mysteries. 🏺

📸 me #archaeology
The longest frescoed wall in the Hall of the Mysteries in the Villa dei Misteri in Pompeii, showing an assortment of women and mythological characters. The bride is identified by the presence of yellow clothing or drapery (referring to the yellow flammeum that a bride wears at her wedding?). The background is a rich, intense red, while a horizontal border above this long scene is made to look like fake mottled stone. Closeup of the bride and her attendant on the opposing wall. Here, her hair has either just been let down, or the attendant is about to braid it into the complex hairstyles that Roman women preferred. She looks just to the left of us, plaintively, her left hand on top of her head, her right holding a lock of hair. She has her yellow mantle wrapped around her lower torso and legs, tied with a pale purple sash.

Possible poorly-run nursing home horrors aside, love me a gas stove and no visible range hood.

With a side helping of "They will not see heaven" in the faint hope that's somehow important to them and not yet more lip service.

All of my political views and policy ideas have basically collapsed to "Punish the Villains" and I mumble it to myself every time I see a news article these days

We lost something as a nation when we lost the mass market paperback format.
natcassidy.bsky.social
I mean this with aaaaaall of my heart: a mass market paperback edition with a stepback cover and/or cut-through is THE DREAM. Thank you, Justin, for seeing its ideal format!!

Hey @natcassidy.bsky.social ideally When The Wolf Comes Home would've been pocket-sized w a cut-thru window to an even-scarier inner cover but otherwise YES, channeling some prime 80s carnage and genuine weirdness beyond the premise. You earned that denouement, dammit, and great use of Roger Rabbit.

They're both so pretty!

DRAGONFLIGHT (1978)
Acrylic on Masonite - 20" X 30"

For the first book in Anne McCaffrey's now legendary Dragonriders of Pern series, I wanted to create a literal visualization of the title. I selected an aerial point-of-view and tilted the horizon to simulate the dizzying sensation of flight. 1/4
A flight of dragons swoops past a rocky mountain peak down that mostly obscures the sun. The light tints green sky yellow along the ridge. With wings spread wide, the lead dragon pulls up from a dive with beak open to expose teeth and tongue. The arc of its climb intersects a red striated planet. The female dragonrider raises one arm up as she glances back over her shoulder.

Evening stroll.

You can understand why I rarely see the need to leave my house. 😆

The ponds and stream were a pandemic project, and the absolute best use of our time during that wild period.

Unless you can prove to me the making of the fiction harmed a real human, I don't care.

Which, for the record, that normally happens with things like crunch, fiscal abuse, work place bigotry, and professional exploitation.

It doesn't happen because pixels on a screen made you uncomfy

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

as long as real living human beings are not being harmed in the making of the content, you're doing great sweetie. make that freak shit.

The Sarantine Mosaic books are my favorite. The chariot race scene in LoE blew Ben Hur out of the water. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I was also quite delighted by your version of the Basilica of San Vitale in Ravenna.

Read the description of the offending game that caused some cunts (derogatory) to screech at steam and itch and like....really? *Really*? You would not survive 1 minute on a 14 year old's fanfiction dot net account.

I support incest games. I support non-con and violent games. I support the right for games with fictionalized abuse of -any- form to exist.

the fundamental line in the sand is, "was another, real human being, harmed/abused/had their consent violated"? if that box isnt checked, then i dont care.
