#woodworking hive mind. NEED A LITTLE HELP. I made a Krenov style plane from some scraps. Rather than a spendy Hock blade I found an old Sweet Heart Stanley.
But the blade won’t stay put.
Improved and moved the cross pin. Made a wedge with less of an angle. Still moves after a couple passes.

I got a bunch of leftover walnut from a friend who made several amazing Sam Maloof style barstools
Turned it into a cutting board that might be a bit too big.

BTW, the finished closure is a leather strap that slips over a rosewood dowel with a notch on bottom.

Gouging is complete! Moving on to planing with a spoke shave I modified to make a convex cut.

If you’re going to sharpen a chisel… sharpen every chisel. Today was spent getting every blade with a handle scary sharp.
Those 3 shitty 1/2 “ ones are from my classroom. Middle schooler + sharp blade = learning experience.

The current project is a jumbo archtop acoustic. Spruce and Western Red Cedar top. Maple and Mahogany back. Curly Maple neck with Bubinga and Tulip Rosewood fretboard.
It’s actually further along than this but I need to get some good pics.
