I watched it this week, and it's very good, but tremendously sad to see Rob Reiner so alive and so close to his horrible fate.
The soundtrack to the new Spinal Tap movie is just tremendous. Looking forward to seeing it.

I wanted to watch The Man Who Came to Dinner on Christmas night but I had to settle for the filmed original stage version with Nathan Lane on YouTube. And while I'll always cherish the film, I must say Mr. Lane and company do a great job with the play.

I've enjoyed every reincarnation of Inspector Maigret from Jean Gabin to Rowan Atkinson. This new one is good too. Only, since English is apparently the national language of France, why are documents and newspapers and signs still in French?

Noir fans will get a kick out of Thomas Pynchon's latest. A gumshoe in 1930's Milwaukee. Exquisitely inventive period slang and hilarious (but very Pynchon-esque ) patter. I'm enjoying it immensely.
