I didn't expect to have to make this request again, but here goes: O Time-Travelers of the Future, this is the moment. Do your duty, and good luck!

I watched it this week, and it's very good, but tremendously sad to see Rob Reiner so alive and so close to his horrible fate.
The soundtrack to the new Spinal Tap movie is just tremendous. Looking forward to seeing it.

Astoria the Wild Turkey perched on a planter by the Staten Island Ferry terminal Monday during her Financial District adventure. Her friends helped her across the street and safely back to The Battery. 🦃 ❤️

I wanted to watch The Man Who Came to Dinner on Christmas night but I had to settle for the filmed original stage version with Nathan Lane on YouTube. And while I'll always cherish the film, I must say Mr. Lane and company do a great job with the play.

Judy Garland notwithstanding, I'm adding "it may be your last" to all my season's greetings today. #finaljeopardy

I'm listening to Neil Young's latest Talkin' To The Trees and I see that it's co-produced by...Lou Adler! Who just turned 92. Needless to say, God Bless Him.

Something I just realized: In Britain a "villain" is a serious bad guy. In America a "villain" is a comic book character.

I've enjoyed every reincarnation of Inspector Maigret from Jean Gabin to Rowan Atkinson. This new one is good too. Only, since English is apparently the national language of France, why are documents and newspapers and signs still in French?

I had this yesterday. Quite tasty and reasonably priced compared to some of the more famous brands.

I don't mind "begs the question" or even "irregardless" but for the love of God it's not "Macy's Day."

I thought I knew a thing or two but I'm only up to December 1900 and I'm already mortified by my profound ignorance of the Boer War.

Noir fans will get a kick out of Thomas Pynchon's latest. A gumshoe in 1930's Milwaukee. Exquisitely inventive period slang and hilarious (but very Pynchon-esque ) patter. I'm enjoying it immensely.

Because I do not hope to turn again
Because I do not hope
Because I do not hope to turn
Desiring this man's gift and that man's scope
I no longer strive to strive towards such things

Hugh Hefner's short-lived Trump Magazine. He wanted something like Mad Magazine, and stole some of its staff, but it lasted only two issues in 1957.
