Thank you -- I kind of had a similar experience with a Vallejo wash or filter (don't remember) kinda solved it with sandpaper, but still, these 'surprises' suck.

No -- though an older second-hand kit seems kind of acceptable as the money won't end up in the company's pocket. But honestly still feels wrong.
