I don’t know what the magic mix is in this movie, but Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is so satisfyingly weird and stimulating to the imagination.

Happy Yule, happy solstice, happy longest night, Merry Gēol. Yule has always felt more significant to me than its oppose, Midsummer, but part of that may just be the stark absence of sunlit hours and the absolute toe-curling joy that a return to longer days brings.

The duality of December in Texas is feeling like it’s finally Fall but also there are winter holiday decorations literally everywhere.
