I just got done with FML #4 and can’t help but feel more people should be talking – nay, yelling – about how good this book is. It’s got heart, dark humour, and a little murder – and some wonderful visual invention. (1/3) #fmlcomix

There are too many 2024 films I’m yet to see, but I don’t know if any will surpass the best film I watched this year, Payal Kapadia’s A Night of Knowing Nothing (2021), a dazzling meditation on creative freedom and divisive politics that fuses documentary and dramatised material to poetic effect.

Astonishing Spider-Man #11 for me. I was six and the family holiday was being cut short because I was ill. My parents bought it for me to cheer me up. It was a cracker – smack in the middle of Web of Life and Web of Death, it reprinted Web of #121, ASM #398, and Spectacular #221.
