You are not paranoid!
They can and do disappear when stored on the cloud or encrypted with DRM! If you have the unencrypted files from an ebook stored on your own device and can copy those to other devices, then it is yours as much as a paper book.
Paper is still better.

Wow, I wonder which one that is!
I own 4 of the headphones on this list, and none of them are amongst my favorites. 6XX and Porta Pro are excellent for the price!
The DT990 though... I don't understand how anyone could like that headphone! I keep it to remind myself how good the good ones are.

CVG does have super cheap direct flights to Seattle, it's great. If you book out far enough first class is pretty darn cheap too.

I could tell you what my first headphone was (80's Walkman Headphones) and I'm still trying to figure out what my last headphone will be (ZMF Caldera maybe?)... but I think the most impactful headphone will always be that Bose QC25 that let me "turn off" the sounds in my open floorpan office. Ahhhh!
