There's been, like... one guy who played until he was 42 and could still be the reason his team won. If Love plays another 15 years as a starter, I'll probably be very happy with what his career ended up being.

What good did blitzing him do? All it did was open up downfield throws. They kept him contained the entire first half by playing coverage.

Caleb sucks shit from the pocket, is 1000% better on the move, and they were blowing coverages left and right and could have used the extra guy in the defensive backfield more often than not.

Blitzed too much on defense, no ball control on offense because every pass was a downfield concept. They couldn't run anymore, but they needed to get the ball out of Jordan's hands quicker to slow down the pass rush.

Yeah, Mina pointed that out. Her issue was the fact they kept taking downfield shots while the protection was breaking down, no ball-control passing to take some pressure off.

As far as owners go, the Maras seem to be on the lower end of meddling. No one meddles less than Bisciotti, and I'd guess Harbaugh isn't anxious to deal with a very hands-on owner.
That said, everything else about the job is just a red flag factory. 😂

The plays were there to be made, if they could have just kept the pressure off Love. Straightening out the OL situation has to be the top, top priority. Sheed will be gone, I don't know what you do with Banks, Elgton and Tom are coming off injuries... it's going to be interesting.

31 passes, 7 runs, too many downfield shots when protection wasn't holding up, too much blitzing to let Caleb escape when he's much less dangerous as a pocket passer. All entirely valid points.
