Could someone smarter than me help me out here? If my home has been reassessed 20% higher, and yes, my property tax goes up as a consequence, does not my resale value go up as well? My collateral for future loans, etc.? Why is this painted as a negative?

The most passionate closing argument I've heard in a long time.

Political grandstanding I can take if it's backed up by intelligence. They wasted so much time because of their laziness and ignorance.

The laziness of the "no new taxes old men" was pretty apparent. Most ammendments they introduced were on a whim with zero consultations with anyone. They showed how little homework they are willing to do.

Are we in the part of the deliberation where the councillors who didn't speak to administrators before hand get to make amendments?

He's an engineer. He knows to maintain his license he HAS to prove professional training yearly. But that's irrelevant to developing a framework for a city which Flores is suggesting.

Too many tangibles with this amendment and not enough intangibles...

Providing durable, feasible networking through the clouds for years! Surprised at Froh's justification. I know shit, but the 3 times I saw them present to council, I knew their ass was sucking slough water.

CCI pretends to represent condo owners. They don't. They side with condo management companies.

Back in the day, the Chamber CEO had access to the lunch room. They would forge policy with business lobby groups all the room. THAT'S WHY WE'RE IN THIS SITUATION!!!

Fro brings up a good question about comparative business tax ratios in western cities. They're in Regina because taxes are lower than other places. Does the 15.69% increase endanger the lower business tax ratio they get in Regina compared to other cities?

How many tax waivers have they received over the last 10 years?

I thought outside delegates were being curtailed in presenting. Raises the question "Does extortion work?"
