As a certain ~date~ given by a certain ~corporation~ approaches, after which users will no longer be able to download their ebooks...

We're DRM-free, meaning you actually own your audiobooks. You can download the files whenever, & listen to them wherever.

I know, I know...not ebooks. But still 😉

We passed a bill in committee yesterday that felonizes elected officials if they vote against Trump’s immigration policy. Let that sink in. Duly elected officials will go to jail- will have a criminal record- if they do not vote for and support Trump’s policies.

ebooks are almost always just licensed to the reader—you don’t actually own the ebook itself. If something goes wrong with that publisher, or if it decides to pull its ebooks from retailers’ stores, you run the risk of losing access, EFF’s Cara Gagliano told @wired.com.
Bookshop.org Now Sells Ebooks
The bookseller is applying its sales model—where online purchases support indie bookstores—to digital books. It has also released a mobile app for shopping and reading ebooks.
