Oh I totally agree! And I agree with your point. I think all I mean is that Shaw’s being there isn’t the same thing as when athletes have been told to “shut up and dribble,” perhaps not justifying the grace to his general right to have opinions.

Not necessarily on your point, but I also wonder how much of “this is a trade” comes from the proliferation of the notion of the so-called “creative economy” and things like states creating career pathways into film, etc. to justify their subsidizing film production.
