@shinyquagsire.bowser.gay Yea, didn't have high expectations but I'm still surprised by the incoherence

Llama 4.5 Scout is not so good by my benchmark.
In Pokémon Red, with the Boulder Badge, Cascade Badge, and Thunder Badge, you've got a good start.

Your next destination should be Cerulean City's Gym Leader's sister, but more importantly, you should head to Vermilion City.

In Vermilion City, challenge the Vermilion City Gym to earn the Thunder Badge's complement, the Fire Badge, but actually, you'll get the Volcano Badge.

However, before going to Vermilion City, I would suggest going to the North of Cerulean City to Mt. Moon, to explore, catch some Pokémon and get some items.

Once you have the Volcano Badge, your next destination would be to challenge the Pokémon League. However, make sure you're prepared with a well-rounded team and that you've explored other areas to get more experience and items.

Okay, this is crazy. Loading the long firebar while four enemy slots + power-up slot are in use is ultimately what cases this. DuplicateEnemyObj, used for spawning the 2nd half of long firebars and Bowser has a massive oversight. If all enemy slots are occupied, the routine will continue checking for a zero byte past the memory allocated for enemy flags ($000f-$0014). This results in the game trying to spawn the 2nd half in a slot past the 6th one.

This doesn't cause much of an issue at first since the byte immediately after the enemy flags ($0015) is unused and contains the zero byte the game is looking for, so the 2nd object spawns in the nonexistent 7th slot and the memory overwritten isn't consequential.

Loop that room and load the long firebar under those circumstances again, and the game will read past $0015 and into the bytes allocated for enemy IDs. There will be a 0x00 byte somewhere in there from the green koopa using that ID, and now the game ends up overwriting that ID with 0x80 + index of the slot containing the 1st half of the long firebar (in this case, index 4). Trying to run the movement subroutine for a nonexistent enemy ID then wrecks havoc.

Wait, you can just... walk through this wall in the Unknown Dungeon basement? (Red/Blue)
Surely this must be well-known, yet I had no idea.

Do you ever think about the fact that the designers of General Midi were tasked with coming up with the 128 most important instruments in the world, and one of the answers they came up with was "Goblins"

SV/Home source has leaked.

First interesting thing I spotted: A commented-out unit test asserting that you can evolve into Overqwil or Wyrdeer using the "Powerful Stone" and "Technical Stone" respectively. But it says the items were "added for testing purposes", so who knows if that means anything.
