I know this might not reach a lot of people, it's mainly a Star Wars thing (so, very niche), but- does anyone have a clue as to what sorts of building methods and materials ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) used to make their Star Wars models back in the day?

So um.. went to see it. And wow- i think it's the most amazing movie I've ever seen. And that's saying something considering that I have Empire Strikes Back as my all-time favorite movie.
