Yeah but does it reliably turn on/wake up over years of use? That's been my issue with every non Apple branded display when connected to my Mac.

If you think the large percentage of Hispanic voters in Texas are going to turn out for republicans again after this last year of ice hounding… 😬 It doesn’t really matter who it is between the Dem options, imo.
December 11, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Probably less likely so.

Been here 15 years now. But originally from Mississippi. So I’ve been surrounded by republicans my whole life lol.

Also, Miami just elected its first Dem mayor in 30 years. Just because it’s been a while, doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

What about the 13 point swing in Tennessee recently? All it would take to flip Texas is a 7-8 point swing 🤔

Senate races get a lot more national attention than attorney general races, which tend to line up with the vote for governor imo. I know some Floridians who didn’t truly get to know DeSantis until he ran for president, despite voting for him for governor, and there was some definite wincing regret..

I wasn’t asking him not to talk about it, just not to speak for us. But you’re right, I definitely could’ve worded that better :)
December 10, 2025 at 8:04 PM
It’s not about the politics, it’s about the candidates and their talent for getting attention in a congested attention economy.
December 10, 2025 at 8:01 PM
And I’m of the opinion that by the time Nov 2026 rolls around, even Texans won’t want to vote in yet another corrupt criminal clown into office as our economy is cratering. We shall see.
December 10, 2025 at 7:53 PM
You put a lot more faith in Ken Paxton not having a DeSantis effect when more people get to know him. Guess we’ll see!
December 10, 2025 at 7:51 PM
I guess I was trying to talk on their ability to elevate their standing publicly through clever branding and social media savvy, and by staying on message. Less about their specific politics.
December 10, 2025 at 7:49 PM
My assessment is this country will continue to go up in flames through the next year under current leadership, that the economy will continue to crater, and that yes, even Texans would vote for Crockett over another corrupt and criminal clown of a politician at that point 😊

My dude I got roasted on this website for defending Platner during his tattoo debacle, but sure.. I’m definitely BlueAnon 🙄
December 10, 2025 at 7:40 PM
I dunno, can you have a conversation without resorting to insults?
December 10, 2025 at 7:37 PM
imo Mamdani won because he could relentlessly stay on message while capitalizing on good branding and social media awareness, despite the GOP boogeyman talking points, and that’s a lesson that can be taken anywhere.
December 10, 2025 at 7:35 PM
Just using it as another example of a candidate deemed too progressive and seen as a republican boogey man on a national level only to come out the other end even more successful. We shall see what happens here in Texas :)
December 10, 2025 at 7:24 PM
He didn’t win as just a democrat, he won as a democratic socialist Muslim in NYC. Do you really think he’d have a chance at any other time in history?
December 10, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Also weren’t Republicans foaming at the mouth for Mamdani? Thinking they could make him the face of the party leading into the midterms? How’s that going?
December 10, 2025 at 6:19 PM
Just like Dems did with Trump in 2016 and we see how that worked out for him :)
December 10, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Do you live in Texas, Tom? Maybe stop thinking you know what us Texans want and let the democratic process play out :)
