You know, just like attendees had to show "respect" to Qatar and not show any pride colors while visiting, I think it's only fair for Egypt and Iran to "respect" the US and our customs by not objecting to their match being full of pride :)
FIFA decided to have a ceremonial match commemorating Pride Month during the World Cup and it ended up being scheduled for Egypt and Iran. Both countries have complained, with Egypt saying it “categorically reject[s] any activities related to supporting homosexuality during the match.”
Egypt and Iran complain about planned World Cup 'Pride' match in Seattle
Egypt and Iran, two Middle East nations that target gays and lesbians, have complained to FIFA over the scheduling of a World Cup soccer match in Seattle that’s expected to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride.

Also this is a “no shit Sherlock” story if I’ve ever seen one. Tepidly confirming something that’s been publicly apparent since the beginning does not make a pedo protecting paper suddenly brave and worth supporting 🤮
I keep hearing from people who cancelled their @washingtonpost.com subscriptions. I hope they will reconsider. As stories like this show, the WaPo is still doing great journalism and holding power to account. Please support its vital journalistic mission. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
White House blew past legal concerns in deadly strikes on drug boats
The Trump administration sidestepped skeptical lawyers across national security agencies as it pursued a military campaign against alleged narcotraffickers, officials say.

I really don’t understand this website’s complete lack of nuance and grace when it comes to those trying to do better for themselves and others vs those who are actively living and breathing and spreading the gospel of hate. There’s a difference!

Sure sounds like a ballroom’s worth of money 🤔
Trump on asking taxpayers to compensate him: "They probably owe me a lot of money. But if I get money from uhhhhh our country I'll do something nice with it, like give it to charity or give it to the White House where we restore the White House."

Hey Bluesky scolds. If you keep attacking those who are honest with their ignorance on certain issues as dumb, stupid, or idiotic instead of using it as a teaching opportunity, Dems are never going to win a national election ever again. Stop with the ad hominem on those who are *on your side* ffs.

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

This rosey cheeked cuck has no idea how motivating these words are going to be to get people to turn out.
Mike Johnson: "This hate America rally that they have coming up for October 18? The antifa crowd, the pro-Hamas crowd, and the Marxists, they're all gonna gather on the Mall. It is an outrageous gathering for outrageous purposes ... all this has gotta come to an end."

Thank god for some semblance of leadership and humanity in this moment. This guy has never been on my radar but he’s stepping up to the moment the way great leaders should, and in a way we need right now.

Social media is, indeed, the cancer that led us here.
Gov. Spencer Cox: "Is this the end of a dark chapter in our history, or the beginning of a darker chapter in our history?...Social media is a cancer on our society right now, and I would encourage people to log off, turn off, touch grass, hug a family member, go out and do good in your community."

Apparently @theverge.com doesn't want me commentating on their stories pointing out that the CEO of this company is a weak and feckless cuck who bent the knee to a known pedophile and rapist, and maybe that should be a good enough reason to not give this company another cent until leadership changes

And the winner of the 2028 presidential election is already defining generative AI as the next great illness of society, the successor to social media, the previous tech-related scourge that helped elect a rapist and criminal as president.. *twice*
The winners of the midterms are already working on how to integrate ChatGPT , Gemini , etc into their campaigns. Millions of voters will simply ask " who should I vote for this election"

Remember that time Zuck renamed his company "Meta" and tried to make the metaverse happen? Remember that time Facebook was found responsible for the election of a fascist as POTUS? And how after he put that wannabe dictator in power, he decided to donate a million dollars to said pedophile rapist? 🤔
