I just learned that they make these, and it’s going to make egg storage so much easier 🤯 I’ve been keeping them in a variety of small bowls and containers. This way, I’ve got one convenient basket for them all!

A Christmas gift I really dug: a “deck of cards” that’s actually an issue of the ‘Ice Cream Man’ horror comic by W. Maxwell Prince and Martin Morazzo. Always enjoyed the comic, and this medium-mixing work is extremely my thing.

Store had pork country ribs on sale so $3 of those got stewed with potatoes (which became the best part of the meal); plus beans with homemade sausage, cornbread, homemade pickles. Lunch done by 11, mostly by just forgetting things in pots for a while.

The bean stew I grew up with, grah/pasulj of the Balkans, is in many ways the simplest recipe: beans, smoked meat, onions, carrots (for sweetness!) go in the same pot, cover with water, cook together until done. Paprika roux at the end makes it extra unctuous.

A grammar mistake that drives me crazy, and maybe only me: “did … used to.” It’s an error, just as it would be if they’d written “why did PCs had a turbo button” or “did PCs made beeps.” I feel like I see this one all the time now!
