I did some research. Pitch was 96mph. Ball approximately 145g. I think his bat is 33.5 in long and 31.5 oz(about 900g).

There were definitely some issues connecting sometimes via Bluetooth that we ran into. Had to connect via USB, run a code, power cycle, then connect via Bluetooth again.

Competition is to keep egg safe while having the most hang time. 3*(payload time in air) + 10 points for egg safety is the scoring formula. Also have new 3D printers from a grant for nose cones/fins.

Started the year off in AP2 immediately with a 2 week engineering project. 1st time I’ve started the year with something like this. Seems to be generating excitement and positive vibes. #ITeachPhysics

I can’t work well in that environment either. I would say when I implement group optional, my proximity is to the ones who gravitate to groups to be social. Often helps regulate the noise issue at least.

Some of the time I allow group optional class work. Groups go to back lab tables. Individuals sit in desks or hall if too distracted. Overall, I find this to be accommodating to most. I encourage those in the front to cross talk if needed.
