Italian parliament unanimously votes to make femicide a crime
The gender-motivated murder of a woman will now be covered by a distinct clause in Italian law - punishable by a life sentence.

What's interesting is the left campist understanding of Ukraine and Russia is normalising far-right arguments about the conflict and concealing the wider issue of Russia's geopolitical project.

Given the way the far-right has taken feminist talking points and used them for white nationalism ends, I'm interested to see how this law plays out in practice. 👇

María Corina Machado, the person Trump wants to replace Maduro with openly supports MAGA. So I imagine the real reason, alongside oil, is to have somewhere else to send Americans kidnapped by ICE too besides El Salvador.
Why is America going to war with Venezuela?

Maduro ain't it!

Seeing Priti Patel, Suella Braverman and now Shabana Mahmood having the views on immigration and asylum seekers they do reminds me of the James Baldwin quote about Black policemen and their hatred of people of the same colour.

Still armed a genocide in Gaza and caused a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan where 95 percent of households couldn't afford to feed their children resulting in mass deaths. Today, Afghanistan is so crippled by this (and Trump policy) parents are selling their children to survive.
Biden is alert and energetic—two things Trump hasn’t managed that well.

It's amazing watching American liberals criticising Trump when their number one gripe is he's making American imperialism "look bad". They are even praising "deporter in chief" Obama while saying Trump is racist for hating illegal immigrants.

Because the domestic racism and xenophobia is linked to the racism of our foreign policy and they don't want a national discussion about how political discourse frames people, in this case Muslim arabs, during imperialist invasions of their land.

The mistake some of the left make regarding Ukraine is they don't think about what would happen if Russia actually conquered Ukraine. Needless to say you'd have a Ukrainian liberation movement (supported by the west). What then? Free Palestine but not Free Ukraine?

The usage of the term "white" in discussions about racism refers to two separate things that often do not correlate with each other. This creates much confusion in discussions about racism.

1. White as a physical description of one's ancestry.

2. White as a power dynamic & political community
