I’m a geek who’s into TTRPGs (D&D, World of Darkness, et al.), computer games, beer, martial arts (Wing Chun, BJJ, Muay Thai), Magic: the Gathering (casually), board games (mostly co-op), fantasy… you know, the usual. VP of Engineering at Roll20.
This reminded me that my work inbox was getting a bit large for my tastes (15-ish in the inbox), and thus inspired me!

Same. And even on Twitter (which I hardly used), you could lock an account so that only authorized people could see your posts. This platform by its very intent and nature is all-public, so I don’t see myself posting here very often.

Cheers to the new job! I remember in high school and college I really wanted to be a game developer. Then I got a peek into that world, and I’m pretty happy having taken an alternate path. Still in *a* gaming world, just not video games. :)

Same as on Xitter, I guess? I never used that platform much, but I’m happy to not use it all, in favor of this one.

Yeah I like that place a lot! But only went like a few times — it was just out of walkable distance from our old place.

Predictable + interesting: 92% of Republicans think crime is up in 2023, compared to 58% of Democrats. Conservatism comes from a place of fear (see link card), and even self-identified liberals will skew more conservative when they think there’s a threat (www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti... ).
