We should be manufacturing less war, and staying focused on defense.

And I’m not just talking about “oh I respect their right to breathe as humans”.

I’m saying they deserve society pausing long enough and thinking deeply enough to understand how sex work, trans or straight, is important healing work that society needs but systemically abuses.

Almodovar’s legacy reminds us why preserving history matters:

📚 It gives activists and students the tools to challenge stigma.

⚖️ It shows how laws rooted in “morality” harm workers.

🌎 And it connects today’s fights against censorship & debanking to struggles decades old.

Now, decades of her papers, 125 boxes worth, have been preserved at @unlv Special Collections.

Her archive documents corruption, criminal justice reform, gender inequality, and the birth of the sëx worker rights movement in America.

If people's don't think of their own words and promises as meaningful, there is no way to accommodate them once they're in power. You have to resist them HAVING power. They will compromise and betray every institution that negotiates with them.
