Right, like, they shouldn’t right now. Playing fair didn’t work so now the option is demonstrating why playing fair is in the GOP’s best interest by making it hurt. If you betray in the prisoner’s dilemma people need to demonstrate why cooperation is better or else betrayals will continue.

Until the blue states and the red states have similar grades you can’t really act like this is a both sides thing, like, Dems unilaterally disarming in multiple areas is a big part of why we’re in the mess we’re in.

Ohio passed a state amendment to ban the practice and do neutral ones. Multiple times!
The GOP just ignored them over and over and it’s gerrymandered even more than ever now!

I lost some friends who were veterans once because I got mad at them for complaining that a waitress didn’t give them veteran’s discounts. Basically “the country doesn’t care enough about you and then you deal with that by demanding it of private people instead of fixing it”

It is such a blatantly terrible idea that the GOP is all about and I’m amazed at how much the GOP here wants to shoot the citizens in the dick, and people keep lining up for dick shots anyway.

Also I think a certain amount of “they have to be good at SOMETHING, or they wouldn’t be a major party”. The idea of a two-party system with approximately 50:50 odds when one of the two parties is objectively better at Literally Everything sounds absurd and yet here we are.
