Honestly me too. I mean, if it’s subs or nothing I’ll watch them sure, but if dubs are an option I almost always prefer it that way so I can focus on the animation and not the text.
I know I'm in the minority but I just prefer dubs for all anime no matter what.
It was funny having a classmate in my MA tell me I was not a real fan even though I'd been watching anime longer than she had been alive

It really sucks that not only will Steam not let you buy games across region if there’s even a tiny price difference but you can’t even just do gift cards now. I just wanted to buy something for a friend to coop but I guess not.

Taking this a bit further this puts to lie the whole “games aren’t art” thing even more. In the same way that TV was less prestigious than movies simply because, basically, games are less prestigious still, independent of the quality one might have.
I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

There is a general belief that this is propaganda and insulting/beneath them, I think. The left-of-center coalition has this belief that the right has openly abandoned and it’s another area where we’re playing with one hand tied behind our back generally.
"Persuasion? Why would I need to do that?" is a very specific, very widespread brainrot among the left-of-center media personalities.

Also I think a certain amount of “they have to be good at SOMETHING, or they wouldn’t be a major party”. The idea of a two-party system with approximately 50:50 odds when one of the two parties is objectively better at Literally Everything sounds absurd and yet here we are.

It’s important for the economy of all fantasy settings to give everyone a sporting try. Keeps the engine of commerce turning.
As a casual observation, I love how a common and accepted fantasy RPG trope is the concept of a treasure room or hidden vault or secret sanctum protected by a puzzle that any remotely competent person can theoretically figure out, despite the fact that no one would ever create this irl.
