Here is the song I made on the iPad at the Apple Store Garage Band workshop today

I was filming a video on flying the air:bit drone I made, spoiler alert I lost control and it ended up in someone’s garden….wait till the end to hear my disappointment 🤣
Obviously testing this in the middle of a tennis court with a fenced perimeter was not enough!

Very cool. I purchased a second hand DJI Tello drone and used the DroneBlocks app to connect with a simple block coding program made the drone take off, hover then land! This drone is no longer viable but I am looking at the CoDrone as another codable drone option for pupils.

First ‘flight’ of the Air:Bit 2 diy programmable micro:bit drone. Scrappy, mainly to my driving/flying skills, but an amazingly satisfying experience, I know exactly how the Wright brothers felt….full coding and flying tutorial video to follow shortly.

Here is the setup for the ‘classic carousel’ activity in Lego Spike Essentials which we will do in week 2 of next term. Look how fast it goes on full speed!

Preparing the video for the first Lego Robotics session of next term, here is the fast lane project where the colour sensor and light is used to correctly identify the colour of the block. Very cool.

I just worked out how to (sort of) ‘change’ costumes in ScratchJr. This opens up lots of cool possibilities, including power ups (Mario flashes when he collects the star). Here is a demo…
