I wish I were in that category again. We owned a home the first few years we were married, then moved to a large city and haven't been able to afford one since. Living in the land of Amazon stock cash-ins doesn't help.

Have you read the book "Range" by David Epstein? It was incredibly life-validating for me! Nonlinear is how you see the best patterns!

Thanks! I have been so inspired by others' zigzag career paths. I used to say I had career ADHD - I don't "sit still" very well. Variety is my spice of choice. I long thought that would be my downfall.

I went through the Danish course; grew up learning Spanish and am brushing up on Spain-based Spanish on there now. Dabbling in Norwegian and Swedish, since they're very close to Danish, but also expanding the Danish with short stories, now!

Oh, pretty sure that's low compared to the US! When I was pregnant, the OB asked me to please never look up symptoms on "Doctor Google or Doctor WebMD" because all it would say is "You and/or your baby will die."
