Here's a second picture that was taken from the stream bed. Waterproof boots and wool socks are a must. To get to Buttermilk you need to cross the steam 5-6 times regardless of the season.

It gets a bit icy but not enough to stop me from sliding down by that big rock in the middle of that stream. I usually find another way back up the hill farther down the stream. This shot was about midway down the hill.

My favorite hike, been there dozens of times. I usually go the extra mile down the stream to Buttermilk Falls as well. Its about time for me to do that again. I've been there twice this year and I always do a winter hike as well as the fair weather ones. Twin Sisters Falls is another treasured one.

I moved here after 27 yrs in NC and 2 in TX. I find it a great place to live. I have only done 27 miles of the foothills on Buckeye Trail, with no salt. We survived.

One alternative I've used for years is OpenOffice. I've only had to use an official MS product twice in 15 yrs for some customers on my side business when it was requested.

Not a distance guy, trying. In the 70s did my own 5-6k at night in TX for 2 years. In 90s trail runs with pack. 2000s did my PB cycling of 106mi 4.5 hrs. Just started jogging again at 70, no knee issues. My best day so far was 3.25 miles under an hour in rain on a hilly muddy trail with 25 lb pack.

BTW that first music post had a typo, should have read Chrissie Hynde. I've seen her, Devo and the Black Keys. The Mothersbaugh brothers Mom used to live but my wifes grandparents. She played football with them when they were kids. It is a small world.

Her brother has been in the group the Numbers Band for decades., also known as 15.60.75 . They have a cult following in Europe and I have know members. They played Royal Albert Hall yrs ago with Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton in the audience. They still play.

Thank you. Hope my old slides don't bore too many folks. I'll be posting some more once I get the new adapter for connecting the duplicator to my Canon DSLR. Hopefully it arrives within a week.

She finished it and liked your work. There will be more of your stuff added to her purchases.

I'm just waiting until we read about the first idiot who runs one over. I'm afraid with the way this world is, that it won't be accidental.

Used to see them at a pond nearby but I think the coyotes have killed them all.

Exactly that. I’ve only known former New Yorkers to become avid outdoors folks.

Look at the two lightest options. I’m a Canon owner now but had some Nikons in the past. I think the D810 might be the best bet.

I use a phone app for tracking hikes. To keep the phone charged I got a cheap 5k mah power bank that’s also a solar cell. It’s light. Just hangs on the pack. Under $20
